SLIQ, INC. PRIVACY POLICY

Sliq, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.

For purposes of this Agreement:

"Site" refers to the Company's website, which can be accessed at https://trysliq.com.

"Service" refers to the Company's services accessed via the Site, in which users can import, monitor, and receive insights on business relationships and company activity, and use AI assistant capabilities including drafting and sending emails and scheduling meetings on the user's behalf, to support business development and relationship management.

By accessing our Site or Service, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (found here: trysliq.com/terms-of-use), and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect both "Non-Personal Information" and "Personal Information."

Non-Personal Information includes usage data that cannot be used to personally identify you (e.g., browser type, pages viewed, time spent, referral pages).

Personal Information includes your name, email address, LinkedIn connections (if authorized), Google user data (if authorized), company name, and any other identifiable information submitted through the registration or data integration process.

1. Information Collected via Technology

To activate the Service, you only need to submit your email address. To use the Service more fully, you may be asked to authorize access to additional information via the LinkedIn API, which may include your name, job title, current position, and your LinkedIn connections.

We also track basic usage data provided by your browser, such as device type, date/time of access, and referring URLs. We use cookies to enhance your experience and collect usage analytics. These may include:

  • User login session tracking
  • Page interaction and engagement
  • Browser and device type

We may use both persistent and session cookies to achieve these purposes.

2. Information You Provide by Registering

When registering for our Service, you provide an email, username, and password. If you choose to connect your LinkedIn account, we collect additional Personal Information that LinkedIn shares with us via the Member Data Portability API, including your profile data and contact connections (with your explicit consent).

Google User Data:

If you choose to connect your Google account, we collect the following Google user data that you authorize us to access (with your explicit consent):

  • Your email address (via userinfo.email scope)
  • Your basic profile information (via userinfo.profile scope)
  • Your Google Calendar data, including the ability to read, create, and modify calendar events such as meeting titles, participants, dates, and times (via calendar.events scope) - this allows Sliq to schedule and update meetings on your behalf
  • Your Gmail messages, including email content, sender/recipient information, subject lines, and timestamps, as well as the ability to draft, send, and organize emails on your behalf (via gmail.modify scope) - this allows Sliq to read your emails, send replies or new messages, apply and remove labels, archive emails, and mark emails as read as your AI assistant

This Google user data is collected solely to provide you with our personal work assistant service features, specifically to help you track and manage your business relationships.

Your email and calendar data is also used as context for our AI assistant to draft relevant messages and suggest relevant actions tailored to your relationships and ongoing conversations. You may interact with and instruct the AI assistant through the Sliq web interface or through our Slack integration.

Slack Data:

If you choose to connect Sliq to your Slack workspace, we collect the following data that you authorize us to access:

  • Your Slack user ID, display name, real name, email address, and timezone
  • Your Slack workspace ID and workspace name
  • Messages you send to the Sliq bot in direct messages and assistant threads, including message content and timestamps
  • Conversation history in threads where Sliq is participating (to maintain context for the AI assistant)
  • Channel metadata (channel ID and type) for conversations involving Sliq

Sliq does not read or store messages from channels or conversations where it is not directly involved. We only access message history within threads where a user is actively interacting with the Sliq bot.

3. Children's Privacy

The Site and Service are not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we may have done so, please contact us at hello@getsliq.com.

II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION

Personal Information:

We use your Personal Information to operate the Service, personalize your experience, and display relevant business intelligence about your network and tracked companies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your Personal Information, including Google user data.

Google User Data:

We use Google user data (specifically your email address, profile information, Google Calendar data, and Gmail messages) solely to provide and improve our personal work assistant service functionality. Specifically, we use this data to:

  • Access your upcoming meeting information to seamlessly integrate our meeting assistant features
  • Schedule meetings and create or update calendar events on your behalf when you instruct Sliq to do so
  • Provide meeting transcription services during your calls
  • Generate AI-powered insights before, during, and after your meetings
  • Import and display your email communications to help you track business relationships and communication history within our CRM
  • Draft and send email replies or new emails on your behalf when you instruct Sliq to do so
  • Search your emails to identify relevant business contacts and relationship touchpoints
  • Improve the functionality and user experience of our personal work assistant service

Google Calendar Data:

Our use of Google Calendar data obtained via the calendar.events scope is limited to providing user-facing features that are prominent in our application's interface. Specifically:

  • We read your calendar events to display your upcoming meetings and provide meeting preparation insights
  • We create and update calendar events only when you explicitly instruct Sliq to schedule or modify a meeting on your behalf
  • We use your meeting history to track relationship touchpoints with contacts in your CRM, showing when you last met with specific individuals or companies
  • Meeting participant information helps us identify and organize your business relationships
  • Calendar data is not transferred to third parties except as required to provide our service features with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law

Gmail Data (Restricted Scope):

Our use of Gmail data obtained via the gmail.modify scope is limited to providing user-facing features that are prominent in our application's interface. Specifically:

  • We read and display your emails to populate your CRM with communication history and contact information
  • We draft and send emails only when you explicitly instruct Sliq to compose or reply to a message on your behalf
  • We apply or remove Gmail labels, archive emails, and mark emails as read only when you explicitly instruct Sliq to organize your inbox on your behalf
  • We do not send emails or modify your inbox autonomously without your instruction — all outbound email actions and inbox modifications are initiated by you through the Sliq web interface or Slack integration
  • We do not allow humans to read your email content unless you provide explicit consent, it is required for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law
  • Email data is not transferred to third parties except as required to provide our service features with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law

We do not use Google user data for any other purposes, including but not limited to: targeted advertising, selling to data brokers, providing to information resellers, determining credit-worthiness, lending purposes, user advertisements, personalized advertisements, retargeted advertisements, interest-based advertisements, or training AI models unrelated to our personal work assistant service.

Slack Data:

Our use of Slack data is limited to providing the core Sliq AI assistant experience. Specifically:

  • We use your Slack user profile information (name, email, timezone) to identify you and link your Slack account to your Sliq account
  • We read messages in conversations where you interact with the Sliq bot to provide AI assistant responses with relevant context
  • We send messages and stream AI responses back to you in Slack on behalf of the Sliq bot
  • We store conversation history from your interactions with Sliq to maintain continuity across sessions
  • We store your Slack OAuth tokens securely to maintain your connection to Slack

We do not use Slack data for any other purposes, including but not limited to: targeted advertising, selling to data brokers, training AI models unrelated to our personal work assistant service, or sentiment analysis of workspace conversations.

Sliq does not use Slack data to train Large Language Models (LLMs). Message content is processed in real time to generate AI assistant responses and is not used for model training purposes.

Sharing and Disclosure:

We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your Personal Information, including Google user data, to third parties. We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties for any purpose, including but not limited to: targeted advertising, selling to data brokers, providing to information resellers, determining credit-worthiness, lending purposes, user advertisements, personalized advertisements, retargeted advertisements, interest-based advertisements, or training AI models unrelated to our personal work assistant service.

Transfers of Google user data are only permitted:

  • To provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in our application's interface, and only with the user's consent
  • For security purposes (for example, investigating abuse)
  • To comply with applicable laws
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets after obtaining explicit prior consent from the user

We may only disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

Non-Personal Information:

We use Non-Personal Information to improve our product, analyze usage trends, and enhance functionality. We do not sell or transfer this information to third parties.

In the event of a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), your information may be transferred to the new operator under the same protections outlined in this Policy.

III. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including Google user data. Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. Our data protection mechanisms include:

  • Password-protected account access
  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest, including encryption of Google user data
  • Secure APIs and server infrastructure
  • Access controls and authentication measures
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment) Tier 2 verification by TAC Security, as required by Google for apps accessing restricted API scopes
  • SOC 2 Type II compliance (in progress). You can view our current security posture at our Trust Center

However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

IV. DATA RETENTION, ACCESS, PORTABILITY, AND DELETION

We retain your Personal Information, including Google user data and Slack data, for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes and necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We will retain your Personal Information for the length of time needed to provide you with our Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, we will delete or destroy it in a secure manner.

Your Data Rights:

You may exercise the following rights at any time by contacting us at hello@getsliq.com:

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you, including data collected from connected services such as Google, Slack, and LinkedIn
  • Right to Portability: You may request that we provide your Personal Information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format so that you can transfer it to another service
  • Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of your Personal Information, including Google user data and Slack data

Upon receiving any of the above requests, we will:

  • Verify your identity to ensure the security of your data
  • Fulfill the request within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days)
  • In the case of deletion, remove or anonymize your Personal Information from our active systems, retaining only information necessary to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes

If you revoke access to your Google account or disconnect your Google integration, we will stop collecting new Google user data, but previously collected data may be retained in accordance with this retention policy unless you specifically request deletion.

If you remove Sliq from your Slack workspace or revoke access, we will stop collecting new Slack data. Previously collected conversation history and account mapping data may be retained in accordance with this retention policy unless you specifically request deletion.

V. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Our Service may link to third-party websites, including LinkedIn and others. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content on those sites. Please review their privacy policies separately.

VI. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on our Site or via email at least 30 days before taking effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically for updates.
